Sports Massage

This treatment involves deep tissue work together with specialised muscular stretching techniques and is particularly beneficial in promoting fit and healthy muscles while helping to prevent injury or assisting the recovery of injuries. Used to prepare the athlete for upcoming sporting events and to aid the body in recovery after an event, Sports Massage is ideal for the weekend athlete as well as the professional athlete.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage is a great way of targeting and releasing the causes of pain and discomfort. A wide range of techniques can be used such as Active Release, Soft Tissue Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release. Remedial Massage can help with the following complaints:

  • Specific muscular pain and patterns of tension
  • Frozen and badly, knotted, shoulders
  • Repetitive strain injuries; Upper and lower back pain
  • Numbness or tingling in the arms or legs

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a specialised treatment based on the ayurvedic system of healing. Its aim is to release stress in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck, shoulders and back. It also helps to increase joint mobility and flexibility, improves blood and lymphatic flow, frees knots of muscular tension, relaxes connective tissue, aids the elimination of accumulated toxins and waste products but is particularly good for inducing deep relaxation and reducing the effects of stress and tension. The client is usually fully clothed (unless used in conjunction with another treatment).
